What We Do

What We Do

When a child is diagnosed with cancer it affects more that just the family.  The entire community is affected.  That is the reason we formed the Team Kelsey Foundation.  We want to offer support to all those who have been touched by childhood cancer; families, friends and communities.  We offer the following:

Family Financial Support:  Fighting cancer is not easy. It can be worse if you have to worry about the financial cost.  If you or someone you know needs finanacial assistance related to a cancer diagnosis we would like to help.  Click here to learn more and to access a printable application for financial assistance.

Pet Therapy Program:  Going through tests and treatments related to cancer can be very scary, especially for a child.  Sometimes these tests and treatments cause physical and cognitive changes.  Going through this experience can make a child feel isolated from peers. Pet therapy utilizes trained animals and handlers to achieve specific physical, social, cognitive, and emotional goals with patients.  Studies have shown that physical contact with a pet can have many positive health effects including lowering blood pressure and decreasing the pain response.   Our pet therapy dog would love to come and spend time with you.  Click here to learn more.

Community Outreach:  People often want to help when a child is diagnosed with cancer but may not know how.  We would like to partner with communities to provide education and information on how they can help.  Click here to learn about the types of services we provide.
